Front End UI Developer

As a Front End UI Developer, you’d be working with all of our properties -- slinging code and making epic things happen for our customers. The ideal candidate will be a UI developer who knows how to create appealing, usable, functional UIs, but will also have some amount of full stack experience. We don’t expect you to optimize DB queries or manage a Linux server, but if those concepts aren’t foreign to you then you are a better fit for this position.

Our major properties include GameSkinny, one of the fastest growing games journalism communities on the planet, Gamer Launch, a premier social networking site for online gamers, and PubWise, our latest product. Apart from our obvious passion for gaming, our background is in publishing. We used our depth of experience to develop PubWise, a SaaS product to help publishers evolve their ad tech strategy. In the coming months, we’re focused on continuing to grow our publishing platform GameSkinny and revolutionizing the ad tech industry with PubWise. Our products are used by millions of users monthly.

We’re located in Atlanta, Georgia--the Silicon Valley of the South. Responsibilities

  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build modern, reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Understanding of CSS pre-processing or server side platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Good understanding of AngularJS or another front end framework such as React or Vue.js
  • Understanding of NPM, Gulp, Yarn and their interactions
  • Proficient in responsive design
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
  • BA or BS degree preferable
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills across all teams to get things done efficiently and correctly

  • Experience with DFP, Header Bidding, Ad Ops
  • Full stack experience
